I think he's broken >_> - Gah, how many times did I try using Splash with my first Magikarp before I clued into the fact that splash doesn't do anything? >_>

Anyway, the setting of the comic randomly moved from Pallet Town to Super Mario World, because Mario World BGs are more frun to draw with the smiley clouds, and the striped hills and such.

I can relate to that, i loved playing my pokemon games but there were some attacks that appeared useless, I guess splash was one of them. I can't wait to see more pages.

Acutally.....
In diamond/pearl, magicarp learn tackle at lvl 14, 6 lvls before they evolve. Luigi's magicarp is probally lvl 5.(the lvl you catch them.)
