FWOOM! - Ganon does the classic bad guy thing of telling his enemy his weakness, but then again, it's a pretty well-known weakness.

Chalk the fact that he's been shot in the chest with an arrow and still able to send Mario flying to the Triforce of Power.
Or maybe THE POWER OF LOVE! But probably the Triforce.

Actually Gannondorfs weakness is Master sword + Light/silver Arrow. Both are required.

And no-one seems to care that Mario has been sent flying... again.

He'll be fine. It happens like, once a week.

You don't NEED the light arrows to defeat him, they're just distraction. In Wind waker the light arrow slowed him down so you could actually hit him with the Master sword. Had he not moved you could defeat him with nothing but the master sword.

But gamedesigners thought that was too simple, so he fights back a lot.

Do Mario's feet count as the master sword? Because if so, Mario could've stabbed him in the head a few times.

...Wow Chidna. just wow.
and I thought I was a dumbass. XD
Well, Mario's gonna have to wait for Link, who has to go to 2000 temples, get 500 legendary items, meet 100 sages and gain there ability to geter 9000 hearts, then he has to get the 100000th sword he's ever owned and go and meet up with Mario.
Too long; Didn't read: Mario's screwed. XD

Shadow_Da_Hedgie was right

Shadow_Da_Hedgie was right when he said (back in the comic Holding out for a Hero) was right when he said Mario was screwed.

Depends on what game you are playing. In the original Legend of Zelda on the NES both arrows and sword are required to destroy Gannon, if you didn't have both, you were screwed.

You had to fight him with your sword, and kick the snot out of him, and then hit him with a single arrow.

Being a total Zelda geek, I just wanted to point out that Silver Arrows do infact have the power to kill Ganon. The Master Sword and Light Arrows can only wound him.

But hey, good page!

All of you wrong

Your all wrong it is impossible to really kill him. Because no matter what you do he will come back again in about a hundred years.

  Actually you are wrong

Actually the author of the Zelda franchise has made it perfectly clear that most Zelda games (besides direct sequels) are actually alternative worlds all based around the same game (Kind of like Final Fantasy). So the Gannon from Zelda 64, is NOT the same Gannon from Wind Waker, nor is the Gannon from Twilight Princess directly related to the other Gannons.
